Annual Tuition and Fees 2022-23

Thank you for considering Spring River School to support the education of your most precious gift, your child.  Welcome back, returning families and to  our new families - we look forward to meeting and getting to know your family and hope this is the beginning of a wonderful new journey for you.

TUITION FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2022-2023

Special Subjects Schedule

Special Subjects on M-W will be Painting, Spanish, Modeling/Sculpting for Grades 1-8

Special Subjects on Th/F will be Handwork/Music and Nature Immersion Grades 1-4; Handwork and Nature Immersion Grades 5/6; and Handwork (to include woodworking) and Nature Quest Grades 7/8.

Important Dates for School Year 2022-2023: 36 Instructional Weeks

  • Semester 1 (16 weeks) August 22, 2022 - December 16, 2022

  • Semester 2 (20 weeks) January 10, 2022 - May 27, 2022

  • Early Release once per month at 1 pm on Wednesdays to coincide with Duval County early release schedule (to allow for Staff and Teacher meetings)

  • Teacher Planning Days (2 per semester, dates TBA)

  • Thanksgiving Break: November 21, 2022 - November 25, 2022

  • Winter Break: December 17, 2022 - January 8, 2023 (3 weeks)

  • Spring Break: March 13, 2023 - March 17, 2023

  • We will have 10 set aside Weather Days

Payment Information

  • The Enrollment Deposit is Non-Refundable and must accompany our financial agreement once accepted into the program. This deposit is applied towards tuition.  Please review deadlines for returning and new students on our Admissions page.

  • Installment payments for the Annual tuition above reflect the total tuition less the deposit. Payments are due on the first of July 2022 - April 2023 in 10 equal installments.

Multi-Student Discount

  • Sibling Discount is 5% in all programs

Tuition Assistance

  • Spring River School's leadership will make every effort to ensure that any student, regardless of a family’s financial ability, has the opportunity to attend our programs.  For the 2022-23 school year, scholarships will be available. Awards are based on financial need. To apply, please read over the information on our Tuition Assistance page on our website and complete an application at the link you will find there.  The link to apply will go live on February 1, 2022.

Other Fees:

  • There is a non-refundable New Student Application Fee of $35 per NEW student that needs to be paid along with the online registration.  Returning families rolling over into the next school year do not pay this fee.

  • Upon acceptance into the program, there is a $100 non-refundable Registration Fee per family, new or returning.

  • Parents will be expected to sign a financial agreement.

  •  Supply Fees are due in July 2022 

 

What Tuition Includes:​

  • Written Narratives for children who attend the five-day program, and teacher conferences for full and part-time students, twice a year.

  • Weekly Updates from the teachers

  • Main Lesson Books

 

What Tuition does not include:

  • Supply Fees vary by class and will be announced in the early summer when Spring River orders bulk supplies for the school year.  

  • Additional fees for any applicable park admission fees 

  • Additional fees for Fieldtrips

  • All-weather gear

  • Snacks/Lunch

 

School Hours:

  • Grades K-8/Monday - Friday:  8:45 am to 2:45 pm

  • Forest School Enrichment (Wednesdays and/or Thursdays) Hours: 8:45 am - 1:00 pm

  • Early Release once per month at 1 pm on Wednesdays to coincide with Duval County early release schedule (to allow for Staff and Teacher meetings)

  • Teacher Planning Days (2 per semester, dates TBA)

  • We will have 10 set aside Weather Days

Culture of Volunteerism:

Spring River is a service oriented organization with volunteerism at the heart of our community.  We believe children learn social responsibility and thrive when their families are engaged in service. To help our community flourish, we encourage all families to contribute at least 20 volunteer hours each year.
