• Spring River is a homeschool program, founded in 2014, offering flexible outdoor programming for grades K-8. ​​ Our programming supports and is supplemental to each family's chosen educational path.

• Much of our curriculum and school culture is modeled after Waldorf Schools, but we are not a Waldorf Independent School. ​

​

• We are offering indoor 9th and 10th grade programming for 2024-25!

​

• We offer a Forest School Homeschool Enrichment Program that meets twice a week in local parks.  This is a 100% Nature Immersion program for grades K-5, split into to classes of appropriate age groups.

​

• Our programs offer daily nature immersion and age-appropriate hiking in the beach/forest area.​

​

• Our class teachers are all trained in Waldorf methods, and three of our class teachers are currently working toward completing Antioch University's Master's Degree in Waldorf Education.

 

• Our class and specials teachers are experts in their fields, and many are certified teaching professionals who have taught in public schools in Florida.  Our tuition reflects our efforts to pay our teachers a living wage.

 

• At Spring River, the parents are ultimately in charge of their children's education, and the school is here to supplement and support.

• Jacksonville Educational Community, Inc. dba Spring River School is a Florida not-for-profit corporation, 501(c)(3) organization. Any donation will be used to further the charitable and educational programs of the organization.
