  • Spring River is a homeschool program, founded in 2015, offering programing for grades K-7. A five day option is available for grades 1-5 in school year 2020-21, and will be offered for Grades K-7 in school year 2021-22.

  • For 2020-2021 second grade is a stand alone class, with K/1st grade, 3/4 grade and 5/6 grade combined, with an offering of Middle School Science.

  • For 2021-2022, we plan to have grades 4/5 and 6/7 combined. K, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade will be stand alone classes.

  • We offer a Forest School Homeschool Enrichment Program meeting once a week in local parks.

  • All of our programs offer daily nature immersion and age appropriate hiking in the beach/forest area.

  • Much of our curriculum and school culture is modeled after Waldorf Schools, but we are not a Waldorf Independent School.

  • Our class teachers are all trained in Waldorf methods, and two of our main lessons teachers are currently working toward completion of Antioch University's Masters Degree in Waldorf Education.

  • Our class and specials teachers are experts in their fields, and many are certified grade school professionals who have taught in public schools in Florida.  Our tuition reflects our efforts to pay our teachers a living wage.

  • We are part of The Playgarden, a magical preschool that has been serving the Jacksonville Community for over 25 years. We are a Florida 501(c)3 organization.

"If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the earth before we ask them to save it. "
