Ways to Give

As a non-profit educational organization, all of our funding and income goes directly back into supporting our teachers and our students. No matter the size, each financial gift made to Spring River makes a huge impact!

For Example:

$5 purchases a book for a class library wagon

$15 purchases birthday candle supplies

$25 purchases extra wool yarn for grades 1, 2 or 3

$30 purchases wood carving tools for grades 6 and 7

$45 supplies a library wagon to a class

$50 sponsors a Hanna park pavilion for a class on a weather day

$100 purchases table clothes for classroom tables

$100 purchases curriculum

$100 purchases embroidery floss for cross stitching for grades 4 and 5

$500 sends a teacher to annual grade specific teacher training

$500 supports tuition assistance

$1,000 provides a class set of pentatonic flutes for grade 1

$3,150-7,500 sponsors a child to attend Spring River

Gifts of your time and talent are just as valuable to Spring River as financial gifts. Please see our volunteer opportunities below.

Support Mary's Garden: an Outdoor Educational Space in the heart of Jacksonville

We have initiated expansion into the University Blvd area close to downtown, where we are working in partnership with Dig-Local, European Street Café, Shakti Life Kitchen, and the City of Jacksonville to obtain permitting and develop a community garden and outdoor educational space.

This area is an under-served location and we have found great local interest and support. From this location we hope to diversify our group of educators, parents, and students in an intentional and organic way by attracting families needing support who do not live in or are not able to travel to the far north end of the beaches.

This educational space will feature up to 6 pavilions and a working biodynamic garden and greenspace from where homeschool enrichment programs such as handwork, music, sculpture, painting, world languages and main lesson courses will be taught. Our vision is to grow this space into an edible garden that will be a natural extension of our school’s philosophy and the hands-on learning we offer. The garden will serve as a learning environment for specific science lessons depending on the grade level of the students.

Once the garden is established, we plan to add additional programing to involve the larger community more deeply by offering afterschool gardening and healthy eating programs for children in local public schools.

What your support means:

$20 purchases child size gardening tools for Mary’s Garden field trips

$50 purchases hand tools for grade 3

$1,000 supports organic garden plot for Spring River at Mary’s Garden

$2,000 purchases a Garden Shed for storing supplies at Mary’s Garden

$5,000 provides supplies to build a pavilion for Spring River at Mary’s Garden

$30,000 sponsors a pavilion for Spring River at Mary’s Garden
