The Importance of Rhythm

January 13, 2019

As we begin our second semester, getting back in to the routine of school, work, the busy-ness of daily life, I’d like to focus on the importance of rhythm.  Rhythm is all around us in the natural world as well is within our bodies.  It essential to life and to the productive and healthy growth of children.  As a mother and a teacher, I have learned that, when being with children, rhythm is everything!  For when we can meet the needs of our children’s naturally emerging rhythm with love and intention, life is good (and much easier really!)

I have included a few links to articles which give further insight into rhythm in the lives of children, as well as helpful tips in establishing a healthy rhythm at home.

Creating a rhythm takes time, but it’s one of the best gifts we can provide to our children, helping to create healthy habits that will carry them through life!

Happy New Year,
